The First Day at Academia Latinoamericana de Español

Academia Latinoamericana takes care of you from the very first moment you step off the plane: your host family will pick you up from the airport and take you to your home away from home. They make sure you have a great start into this adventure and get settled well into our culture.

On the first day of classes, your host family will take you the school and show you the way and where to take buses from. All new students are given an official welcome to Academia Latinoamericana by the director of the school.
 
After a written and oral placement test you depart on a city tour of Quito / Cusco / Sucre together with all new students. A representative of the school will explain you how to get around the city, how to use public transport, where to find important places and tell you about the history of Quito / Cusco / Sucre.

In the afternoon all new students participate in an orientation session, in which we tell you important rules regarding classes, schedules, host families, cultural activities and weekend trips. Important topics such as security in Ecuador / Peru / Bolivia, do’s and don’ts and general things you need to be aware of during your stay are covered as well, so you can feel completely home and entirely enjoy your stay in our country.
