We are excited that you are considering joining us to volunteer. Volunteering is an incredible way to give something back to the country you choose to visit. We work with a number of non-for-profit institutions who are grateful of the support and the time that volunteers can lend. We have worked with most of them for a number of years and are constantly assessing the volunteer roles to ensure you have a rewarding experience and are able to really make a difference to the projects.

When choosing to volunteer in a developing country such as Bolivia, it is important to remain flexible as the needs of the project are constantly evolving. This is what makes volunteering so rewarding – the fact that you are on hand to lend your support when and where it is needed. Volunteer Requirements

All of our volunteer projects require a minimum stay of 4 weeks. This is to enable you to build up a good rapport and level of trust with the children and staff that you will be working alongside. You will also need to take at least 2 weeks of Spanish tuition before or while you volunteer, as you need to be able to communicate with the people you are helping, as well as with the staff and other volunteers. 

All volunteers need to;

• Speak Spanish to at least a lower intermediate ability
• Dedicate at least 4 hours each day to their project
• Show initiative and motivation to complete volunteer duties
• Send the Academia a CV/resume prior to arriving
• Attend an orientation session prior to commencing their placement
• Complete weekly evaluation form to provide the Academia with vital volunteer feedback
